Intermediate Pistol Skill Builder |
|
This intermediate class will cover defensive shooting at various distances and malfunction drills. Most of the shooting will be "controlled pairs". The drills will be emergency reload, tactical reload and Type 1, 2 and 3 malfunctions. If you have never had a chance to practice these drills, no problem, they will be demonstrated in detail. Required items are eye and ear protection, handgun at least .380 caliber, holster, magazine pouch (holder), and at least 2 magazines. Class is 3 hours. Cost is $100 + $10 if you are not a member of the Rainbow Range. 150 rounds of ammo will be needed.

NRA Personal Protection in the Home |

This is an intermediate group class focusing the defensive use of a pistol in the home. It covers safety, defensive shootings positions, using cover and concealment, legal aspects, and shooting "controlled pairs". A prerequisite for this class is NRA Basic Pistol, NRA First Steps Pistol, or equivalent in shooting experience. You will need your personal handgun, holster, magazine holder, eye and ear protection, and 200 rounds of ammo. Class is all day. Cost is $100.

Advanced Pistol Skill Builder |

You will need to have taken either the Intermediate Pistol Skill Builder or Personal Protection in the Home to be qualified to take this course. We will start out shooting "controlled pairs" from the low ready and then move to drawing from the holster. We will also be covering the malfuntion drills covered in Intermediate Pistol Skill Builder. Required items are eye and ear protection, handgun at least .380 caliber, holster, magazine pouch (holder), and at least 2 magazines. Class is 3 hours. Cost is $100 + $10 if you are not a member of the Rainbow Range. 150 rounds of ammo will be needed.

NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home |

This is an advanced group class focusing the defensive use and carrying of a concealed pistol. It covers safety, defensive shootings positions, using cover and concealment, legal aspects, shooting "controlled pairs", drawing from a holster with or with out concealment. A prerequisite for this class is a NRA Personal Protection in the Home certificate. You will need your personal handgun, holster, magazine holder, eye and ear protection, and 400 rounds of ammo. Class is 2 days. Cost is $200.
